| Late Friday night East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers were dispatched to auto accident on Culbertson Run Road in West Brandywine Township. Additionally Glen Moore Fire Company, and Ambulance 144 were also on the box.
Upon arrival of Assistant 49 he found one occupant in the vehicle, which was off the road and down an embankment. According to West Brandywine Police the vehicle traveled over 300 feet before coming to a stop.
Chief 49 assumed Culbertson Command, and Operations were directed by Chief 48.
Access was gained by removing the roof and driver's side doors. Once access was obtained, personnel from Ambulance 144 took over packaging the patient for removal.
The Line Officers would like to thank all the personnel from Station 48, 49, and Ambulance 144. Once again as a result of teamwork and cooperation the extrication time was under 15 minutes. |
