During the evening of Friday April 30th, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers were dispatched to an auto-accident in the area of 2760 Manor Road. The Glen Moore Fire Company and Westwood Ambulance also were due on the assignment.

Deputy 49 arrived on location and reported a van into a pole with one patient who sustained leg injures.

Personnel from Engine 49 and Utility 49 controlled hazards and traffic control while being assisted by personnel from Engine 48 and Tac 48. As a result of the impact, the utility pole sustained significant damage requiring a response from PECO. Given the fact the primary lines had become dislodged from their insulators

The road remained closed while crews from Flings Towing removed the vehicle and trailer.

Emergency services personnel were on-scene for about an hour before returning to quarters.
