I would like to thank East Brandywine Fire Company, and especially Dane Edwards, for putting together an entertaining and educational experience for our students. Demonstrations including a car fire and rescue turned theory into reality allowing our students to have a better appreciation for our local volunteer fireman and the work they do. The cookout was great too! Thanks again for taking the time with our students

Thank you to all the firemen who come out to Hopewell Christian Preschool in October. They do such a great job presenting fire safety to our 3, 4, and 5 year olds. The lesson was clear: the Firemen are our friends and they are always there to help keep us safe. We loved having "Freddie" come this year also. Thanks so much for your time...........and for the hats!

A Hero's Welcome.

We just wanted to thank Mark, Joe, Sparky, and the rest of the East Brandywine Fire Company for the wonderful tour of the fire-trucks. My students, who are classified as Autistic, had such a great time. They were engaged and learned alot about fire trucks and fire safety. They really enjoyed Sparky (the 6 foot firefighting dog). We really appreciated you accomodating our last minute request for a visit in honor of our "Heros" week and September 11th. You guys are awesome, Thanks for all the work you do!!!

East Brandywine Fire Company ROCKS!! Our son Nate Jr. celebrated his 3rd birthday with family and friends at this firehouse on Saturday August 9, 2008. I cannot say enough about the hospitality and genuine kindness of Joe Edwards and crew (John and Pat to name a few). This two hour event provided fun, education, and an all around great time for children and adults of all ages. The children had the opportunity to explore and ask questions about the fire trucks. Sparky the Dog made an appearance, too, and demonstrated "stop, drop, and roll!" A volunteer fire fighter transformed himself from regular fire fighter to a fire fighter with all of his equipment and mask on to show the youngsters what firemen look like when entering a fire so that the children would not be afraid if (heaven forbid) they were ever trapped in a house and encountered this masked hero. They set up tables with hats and "gift" bags and had the very lovely and talented Andrea available to paint faces and tatoos! We would definitely recommend this type of event and are thrilled that this wonderful fire company opened its doors for a memorable birthday and community event!

Thank you for hosting so many of us MOMS Club members and our children at your fire house. Since circumstances brought us to you with very little notice we were pleasantly surprised at what a great show you put on for us. We loved climbing all over the fire engines and meeting Sparky.

Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your informative and fun presentation last month at Olivet United Methodist Church. Days in advance my son continually spoke about 'going to see Sparkie' with much enthusiasm. I'm glad to report that Sparkie exceeded his high expectations. Your presentation had the kids fully engaged and was a huge success.
I must admit that I also really enjoyed the presentation; your team has a very nice way of weaving together important safety messages in a way that's actually a lot of fun.
