On Wednesday evening November 4th, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers participated in Fire Dynamics training. Thirty-three members were in attendance for this invaluable training opportunity.

Fire Dynamics is the study of how chemistry, fire science, material science and the mechanical engineering disciplines of fluid mechanics and heat transfer interact to influence fire behavior. In other words, Fire Dynamics is the study of how fires start, spread and develop.

John Kobell Adjunct Instructor for the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy and a FF/PM for Anne Arundel County Fire Department conducted the two and a half hour training.

Those in attendance spoke highly of Intructor Kobell's depth and breadth of knowledge on the subject matter, and are looking forward to attending the second session which will focus on operations and tactics.

The Line Officers would like to thank Instructor Kobell for taking the time to share this important information.
