On the evening of February 24th East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers participated in SCBA and RIT skills training. Volunteers over the course of the evening partnered up and completed two obstacle courses with an emphasis on different skills.

The first obstacle course was designed to have the participant not only "buddy breath" the entire course, but also rapid fill an SCBA bottle. Participants traversed obstacles while buddy breathing and half way through the course had to rapid fill an SCBA in order to complete the drill.

The second course focus on rescuing a dummy while working in confined spaces. For an additional degree of difficulty participants also buddy breathed.

These drill are intended to help increase firefighters skill and competency when utilizing their SCBA, and also while performing rescues.
