February 10, 2019

Our team of dedicated volunteers are proud to announce that after two and a half years of planning and production the new Ladder 49 was placed into service on Saturday February 9th.

The Ladder is a Pierce 105' heavy duty dry ladder with a compliment of nearly 350' of ground ladders. The truck was delivered to the Station on October 16th and following delivery countless hours were invested in determining the ideal equipment layout. Once the layout was determined it was sent to Glick Fire Equipment for tool mounting.

Chief Vince D'Amico said "it was important for us to ensure we laid the equipment out to maximize our efficiency". D'Amico added that "we wanted to optimize functions we provide routinely like RIT functions, therefore you will find a stokes basket preloaded with a backboard on tools mounted to it".
