Last night, 22 volunteers from East Brandywine traveled to South Brandywine Middle School for our weekly training. This was a unique opportunity for us to train inside of a large building with many challenges. The focus on this week's training was Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) scenarios that focused on finding, packaging and removing downed firefighters in challenging conditions. Crews utilized our RIT kids, FAST boards and large area search rope bags to simulate real-life situations, ensuring our team is prepared if ever called into action as the RIT at a fire. We also wanted to take a moment to Thank the Westwood Fire Company and Deputy Chief Randy Scott for inviting us to use the facility. We truly appreciate the invite.
