Monday morning at 9:55am the East Brandywine Fire Company along with multiple other departments were dispatched to assist the West Bradford Fire Company on a reported house fire in the 1300 block of Piedmont Dr.
The Chester County 911 Center advised units responding that they were getting multiple calls of a house on fire with a large amount of fire to the rear of the home. Chief 39 arrived on location first and confirmed a working fire with possible entrapment.
Ladder 49, Engine 49-5 and Utility 49 made the response and upon arrival crews set up on the front lawn as the RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) but then split crews and sent several members to the roof to begin opening up for the interior crews. Crews from West Bradford, Minquas, Alert and Thorndale worked on fire attack and searches which turned up to be negative and it was determined all occupants were out of the house.
Crews were on scene for approximately two hours before clearing the scene. |
