Last night, our EBFC volunteers were hard at work during training!
On the agenda this week? Vehicle Rescue training! Our dedicated crews honed their skills using a range of tools, including our hydraulic and battery-operated Holmatro cutters and spreaders. They successfully removed doors and roofs from two vehicles, simulating real-life rescue scenarios with precision and expertise.
But that's not all—our teams also focused on perfecting stabilization techniques and mastering the art of performing a dash roll. These essential skills ensure we're always prepared to handle emergencies effectively and safely.
Last night's training session was made possible by a generous donation from Robyn Crabb and Jen Bretherick.
Robyn and Jen donated the Black SUV used in our training, a vehicle with a meaningful history. Their mother, a dedicated teacher for 38 years, would have been delighted to know that her car now serves a vital role at our firehouse, benefiting our training efforts immensely. Robyn and Jen were invited to witness firsthand how their donation is making a difference. They joined us last night, observing our EBFC members in action as they honed their skills and techniques.
Their support and generosity are deeply appreciated by all of us at EBFC.
Thank you, Robyn and Jen, for honoring your mother's legacy in such a meaningful way. Your contribution ensures that we are well-prepared to serve our community with excellence and dedication. |
