At 17:31 hours on Friday evening, Station 49 was dispatched to assist the Wagontown Fire Company as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) for a reported fire in the 200 block of Hill Road in West Caln Township. The initial box assignment included multiple fire companies.

While en route, Deputy 33 from the Honey Brook Fire Company reported seeing a column of smoke and visible flames approximately one mile away from the scene. Upon arrival, Deputy 33 confirmed a working fire in a two-story barn with fire showing on the "D" side of the structure.

Station 49 responded with Ladder 49, Rescue 49, Engine 49-5, and Utility 49-1. Upon arrival, crews established RIT operations outside the structure, ready to assist any interior firefighters if needed. The scene was a collaborative effort, with multiple companies working to control and extinguish the fire.

Chief 35 declared the fire under control at 18:35 hours after all hands performed extensive overhaul operations to ensure no hidden hotspots remained. While Station 49 crews were committed to the scene, Engine 6-1 from the West Whiteland Fire Company covered East Brandywine’s local area. During this coverage, Engine 6-1 responded to and handled one incident before being released.

The coordinated efforts of all responding companies ensured the fire was contained and extinguished effectively. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
