By East Brandywine Fire Company
April 8, 2025

This week, six EBFC volunteers traveled to Appleton, Wisconsin to complete the final inspection of our brand new 2025 Pierce Walk-In Rescue Truck! This state-of-the-art apparatus marks a major milestone for our department and will soon be making its way home to serve our growing community.

Planning for this purchase began over three years ago—a forward-thinking effort that allowed us to get ahead of the supply chain delays and inflationary challenges that are currently impacting fire departments across the country. This new Rescue Truck will replace our 21-year-old 2004 Pierce Dash Rescue Pumper, which has served us well but is ready for retirement.

As one of the fastest-growing communities in Pennsylvania, the need for reliable, modern fire protection services has never been greater. This investment ensures that we can continue to respond quickly, safely, and effectively—whenever and wherever we’re needed.

We extend our sincere thanks to our municipal leaders for their ongoing support of our mission. And most importantly, thank you to our community—your continuous support is what keeps our all-volunteer organization going strong. ❤🚒

Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare to welcome the new Rescue Truck to East Brandywine!
